Be the best version of yourself!

The power you have is to be the best version of yourself you can be,
so you can create a better world.

In our lifetime, we create many versions of ourselves. In every stage of life, from childhood to getting old, we go through many transformations. Each of these transformations adds some value to our personality and our mindset.

But how often these transformations are for our happiness. In our childhood, we create a persona to please the people around us or irritate them. In short, the motive is to get attention. When we become teenagers, we try to create a different persona to make new friends and make them like us. When we enter the adult stage of our life, the struggle for making a successful career starts where again a new transformation starts for survival and the hunger to go up the ladder starts. Later in our thirties, we get married and have kids. Again a new change starts, the struggle of becoming a good spouse and a good parent.

Many people in this world go through all these very smoothly and stay happy. But are you at your best? Is your full potential used in what you are doing daily? Are you doing what you love or what you want to do in life or be in life?
There is always a hypothetical situation that runs in the corner of our brain. That said, “If the situation was like that, I would have done this!”
Why not create the situation and do the damn thing?

Being the best version of yourself is not about being happy, content and satisfied in life. It is about unlocking your full potential to do what you are good at doing. Every person has a unique trait and talent or skill. Using it daily makes you the best.
When one becomes the best version of themselves, they start contributing to the betterment of their surrounding. They can inspire others to be the best and bring goodness and development to society. How do you think we came to live in an era where technology is so developed. By just clicking a few buttons on your smartphone gets the work done. It was possible because many people brought the transformation of being their best version.

So how to be the best version of yourself?

Find a purpose in life.
Try finding something that makes you happy and willing to put all your efforts to be the best at it. Visualize the best version of yourself and try to understand what it’s gonna take to be it.

Get ready to leave your older version behind.
Our past experiences are very important in life as they help us grow and become strong. But it is also necessary to be willing to leave your older version behind so that you can embrace the best completely.

Start from the beginning.
We know very well that there is no shortcut when it comes to getting the best right!
Even if you feel like you are gonna fail, welcome the failure with open arms and give it a try and try to master the skill. Don’t stress much about how much effort and hard work you have to put. But being best at something doesn’t mean you have to be perfect at it. No one is perfect in this world.

When the opportunity knocks on your door, grab it.
A time will come when you will get a chance to prove your skills. You have to give your all in those moments. That’s the only way to test your skills. We usually tend to overthink in such situations, like “Should I take this opportunity?” “What if I can’t do it and lose what I already have in life?”
But rather than hovering on those thoughts, try having positive thoughts. Think about how you will feel if you get the job done successfully. Think how much change it will make in your life if you do it correctly. Thinking positive will create a success mindset in your brain which reduces the chances of failure.

Relax once in a while.
When you are already giving your best at something and working hard, it drains you mentally and physically. It is good to relax and try to soothe your brain. Every time you successfully take a step, try celebrating it. Relax for a day. It boosts your confidence and also makes you ready for the next step.

Try motivating others as well in your surrounding.
When you achieve your goals, people around you get inspired by you to get into that kind of mindset. Helping them will help you as well to move ahead. It creates a positive vibe and keeps you happy.

Try having a growth mindset.
Always try to focus on the outcome. If you keep your eyes on the prize, the path to get it becomes a bit easier. You become strong to endure the pain and hardship which comes along the path. Never judge and criticize yourself or others at any moment. Try being compassionate and kind to yourself.

Live your life on your terms.
You get to live only once. And this life is not meant to please others. You can’t keep everyone happy. But if you try to keep yourself happy then the people who accept you the way you are will be happy.

Inner voice being demolished by social noise!

Do one thing every day that scares you.
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Has it ever occur to you how much of your ideas and creativity became soundless in your brain by the noise created on the social ground?

You might even have forgotten those great ideas because it was constantly fed into your brain like, ” Do you think you are capable of actually doing it?”
“Yeah, as if you can accomplish something like that!”
“It’s not very practical in reality.”
“It’s very risky for you.”
“What if you do it and fail?”
“You are a grownup now, try to understand and take action on your responsibilities.”
“Dreams are good when you are sleeping.”

There are many more examples that I can give but I guess you understand the gist of what I am talking about. Right!

In a few seconds of hearing those statements, your brain starts to shrink and you literally forget the reason it all started and you look towards your daily life. You feel like why to mess it up when everything is going normal for me.

Well, this is very common in our day to day life, as in we are literally nurtured into this social way of fitting into a flock.

How often you feel guilty for having those dreams and passion which seems very impractical in nature to society’s eyes?
Internally you start scolding yourself for having those thoughts.

As if when you will fail in making those attempts to achieve your dream to make it true, those people will have to live the burden of your pain.

The funniest thing is everyone has one of those daydreams which they want to fulfil, but most of them don’t have the guts to take the risk or take that required first step forward. So even though they know it will literally change their own life if they make one single move, what they actually end up doing? They try to stop others as well to do the same thing.

I really admire those people who actually encourage someone to take the leap and actually stand behind them to catch that someone if they fall.

So the point of all this is what kind of person you want to be?
Whether you want to leap yourself or not is a totally different matter.
But I guess our society needs more of those kinds of people who support you and push you to stand up and try again when you fall and are wounded and bleeding.

It takes a lot to put efforts and keep trying to achieve your own dream. But it takes a lot more effort to take a stand for someone else so that they can achieve their dream.
If we can be one of those people, then maybe we can see more successful and happy people around us, who can inspire others to leap in their life.
