– Bruce Willis

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

We all want to look good and our appearance matters a lot. And the reason for this is that we are humans. Having a good personality makes us feel better about us but we need to realize one thing first that beauty is inside of us. And when it comes to our personality, it is up to us how we represent ourselves in front of others. But if we come to the point, maximum people are facing a similar issue on today’s date and that is hair fall. And though it can be happening to you for many reason, it causes a lot of stress within us.
In general we lose 50 to 100 hair in a day which is said to be normal. And new hair replaces the old hair but it takes time for that to happen. But if someone is suffering from any kind of hair disease it is difficult for hair re-growth to happen.

What causes hair fall?
Hair loss can happen due to many reasons. Now a days even kids are facing this issue and some how people have started to adapt this as new normal.
* It might be heredity.
* You might be going through some kind of hormone imbalance or hormonal issues. In that case you should consult a doctor and get it treated first.
* Stress can be a big reason for hair loss.
* Sleep deprivation.
* Any major medical conditions can cause hair fall. Most of the time the drugs used for treatment of those medical conditions causes hair fall.
* Dehydration.
* Using hard water for hair wash.
* Nutrition deficient.
* Women may face hair loss during pregnancy, or if are suffering from PCOS or PCOD.

How to reduce hair loss?
There is always a point from where you cannot return back. Hair loss can be reduced but till a certain stage. If you can take a little care at the earlier stages then you might be able to maintain it for a longer time.
* Try using a mild and paraben free shampoo.
* Avoid using hair dryer or straighteners on a regular basis. The more your hair is exposed to heat, the more it will become dry and brittle.
* Maintain a healthy diet. Include vitamin E in your diet, this is a must. Also try including dry fruits and green vegetables in your diet daily.
* Washing hair daily can dry your scalp and hair fall can increase where as washing hair in longer interval can make your scalp very sticky and dirt can accumulate. That’s why I suggest you wash your hair weekly twice.
* Try using DIY hair masks like apple cider vinegar or rice water with rosemary essential oil. Spray directly on scalp and wash after 30 mins.
* Never brush your hair when it is wet. Hair follicles are very soft and it can break very easily. It can create split ends as well.
* Oil your hair at least weekly once. Try using onion seed oil or any other oil which suits you.
* Try reducing any kind of styling products on a regular basis. If you are facing too much of hair fall, try avoiding coloring or bleaching your hair.
* Consult a skin and hair specialist for severe hair fall.
* Try staying hydrated. Drinking water on a proper amount helps your hair to retain moisture. Drink coconut water once in a while, it balances the PH level in our body.
* Try getting proper sleep. Sleep is very essential for a healthy body and mind.
* Practice yoga weekly three times at minimum. This will increase blood circulation throughout your body. This way blood will reach to your scalp as well and your hair will look shiny and healthy.

How to overcome self doubt?

Erase self doubt by working to build your strength instead of focusing on your weaknesses.
– Rodolfo Costa

Will I be able to do it?
Am I beautiful?
Am I good enough?
What if I fail in completing this?
What if I make mistakes and end up in trouble?
What if I get stuck in between?
What if they don’t like me at all?
Will I look good in this cloths?
Am I so ugly?

Sounds familiar?
Self-doubt is something we all go through from time to time. Some of us know how to cross that thin barrier and some us just believe those thoughts and give up. And it is quite normal to give up in such situations. But what if you can actually make those same thoughts your strength?
Wouldn’t it be amazing?

I believe that self doubt can be very useful even though it is the only thing that stops us to take that one step which can change our life. Self doubt gives us a reality check about our own self-esteem and confidence. It is a voice in our brain that tells us that we need to learn more, practice more and appreciate the efforts we are putting in to achieving whatever it is that we are looking to have in life.

Photo by Anna Shvets on Pexels.com

The first place self doubt takes birth is our own brain. Whenever we are preparing for something which is extremely important for us, we start doubting our own abilities. Many times it occurs due to our social circle or peer pressure or even our family members. Often we are surrounded with people who take a dig on us and underestimate us in front of everyone. And instead of supporting us, other people make fun of us or they just stay quite. And their laughs and statements starts making a nest in our mind which results in self doubt.

When you really work hard and give your best and end up failing, it is obvious to feel unaccomplished and we start saying ourselves that we are good for nothing or we are just plain dumb. Which is actually not the fact. It is important to understand that mistakes and failures are the only way to learn and expertise your skills in your desired fields.

Self doubt also creeps within you when it comes to your looks or personality. When it comes to these things we usually rely on other’s opinion and believe the same. But it is always said so that as long as you don’t give value to yourself, others won’t give value to you as well. Personality is something which flourishes with self love, self confidence and compassion.

In my opinion we should start owning those thoughts and challenge them within us to overcome self doubt. Make it the ladder to becoming more confident about yourself.

Practice positive affirmation and gratitude.
In many of my posts I have recommend this, and I can say it again and again that practicing positive affirmation helps in a great way. Having a gratitude mindset helps you develop self confidence.

Photo by Pavel Danilyuk on Pexels.com

Self love.
Loving yourself and appreciating yourself will make you feel nourished and blessed. It changes your thoughts and gives you the will to keep trying for yourself.

Celebrate your small achievements and validate it yourself.
Whenever you get a small success, appreciate it and celebrate it. Validate yourself by judging your own efforts. This will give you a push to try in a better way and move towards bigger goals.

Be kind to yourself.
When you see someone trying very hard in something, you always show kindness to them right. You tell them that they doing good, so why not do the same to yourself.

Be mindful of the way you think.
Have you heard of the saying, “The way you think, the same you become.”
So be careful about how you think about yourself. If you will keep having negative thoughts about yourself then that is what you will become eventually.

Photo by RODNAE Productions on Pexels.com

Talk to someone you feel very supportive of.
When you are feeling very sad and down, try talking to someone who supports you in every situations. Try sharing your feelings to them. They will definitely help you see the brightness within you.

Stop comparing.
Till the time you will keep comparing your life with others, your life will remain within a limit. Make your life boundless and limitless.

Appreciate your own strengths.
Rather than focusing on your weaknesses try looking into the things in which you are good at. Even if it is about your looks, try focusing what feature is more beautiful about you. What makes you different than other?

Upgrade your skills and learn in the process.
The best way to overcome self doubt is to keep making yourself better. Keep learning and a time will come you will understand how it made you come this far.

Take inspiration from live examples.
If you admire someone, then try to learn from their life about how they made it in their life to where they are today.

Photo by Olya Kobruseva on Pexels.com

Stop making excuses and take actions.
Instead of talking about plans and thinking how to reach there, take the first step. It might help you go up the ladder sooner.

Try avoiding people who belittle you.
It might be happening that your acquaintances are impacting you in a much deeper level. You might be taking it very sportively but somewhere in the the corner of your brain, your subconscious mind starts believe those people who always belittle you. Try avoiding them as much as possible.

Start journaling.
In one of my post I have mentioned in detail about how journaling changes your life. It increase your inner strengths and helps you learn about yourself.

I seek strength, not to be greater than other, but to fight my greatest enemy, the doubts within myself.

Try using turmeric for the same as well and you can treat many skin related issues.

Benefits of Turmeric:

Book Review: Atomic Habits by James Clear

Habits are the compound interest of self-improvement.
– James Clear

“Atomic Habits” has become one of the most popular book in self-help genre. And after reading it, I found it very practical to implement in our daily life and the examples given by James on Psychological aspects are incredible. He has given a detail breakdown of slowly shaping your lifestyle and making minor changes on daily basis and change your habits to achieve excellence.

James has also mentioned many real life examples of many athletes, entrepreneurs, artists and other successful people who managed to change their lives by making very small changes in their habits on a daily basis. He has also mentioned that when we try to change our bad habits and fail to do so, it is not our fault, we fail because of the system we are molded into from our childhood. It is our lower self-esteem which takes over our mind and our brain starts repeating in our head that, It’s not gonna happen for you.
Human behavior changes every day with situation and circumstances but what doesn’t change is human nature and his/her believes. And in this book James has explained how we can change that to achieve our desired goals by changing our inbuild behavior.

Even when you are trying to adapt a good habit, it is very much obvious and normal to fail in it to implement it in your daily routine. But with slow and small approach it can be achieved. If you will think that, from tomorrow I want to wake up at 5 am instead of 8 am. It’s not gonna happen, you will definitely fail on the second day or the third day. But instead, if you try waking up at 7:45 am for a week and then 7:30 am for the next week, your body will automatically start adapting to the change and you will feel more confident about yourself. He has mentioned that by making 1% change every day can give you massive result on a longer period. He calls it 1% rule.

There are many more theories mentioned in the book, to know more about it do read it and you will not regret it for sure.

Journaling: How it changed my life?

I write because I don’t know what I think until
I read what I say.
– Flannery O’Connor

Photo by Alina Vilchenko on Pexels.com

Are you able to recognize all the thoughts and emotions that crosses your mind?
Do you know on an average 6,200 thoughts comes to our mind in a day?
Isn’t it fascinating how less we value our own thoughts and feelings on a daily basis. Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could just bottle up at least few of these thoughts?

Doesn’t matter what kind of personality trait you have, whether you are an introvert or an extrovert, there are so many thoughts and feelings we never say out loud to any one. But writing those on a piece of paper will help you actually recognize them on a deeper level.

There is no existence till there is no recognition.
When we write our thoughts, we get a lot of different perspective of our own mind. Before we try to understand someone else, I feel it is very important to understand ourselves.

You can know at what point you are being hard on yourself. You can know at what point you are being negative and when you are taking life in a positive manner.
We often judge others after listening to them or speaking to them. Sometimes we point out their flaws and sometimes we appreciate their good deeds.
Just imagine how good it will feel when you can do that to yourself.

I have been journaling for a very long time now. But previously I only used to write when I was very happy or when I was very upset. And when I feel that my thoughts are not organized, I used to avoid writing at all. I was not able to put my thoughts into words. After a certain time I started writing on a daily basis. Even if I don’t have any thing to write, I just used to write positive affirmations. And I felt so much change in my way of processing my own thoughts. I learnt how to keep myself on positive side of life. I learned how to process any negative and aggressive thoughts coming in my brain. It made me realize of all the privilege’s I am blessed with. Whenever I was doubting my own ability in doing something extremely out of my comfort zone, writing about it and reading it again gave me strength to cross those barriers I was so afraid to even think about.

You don’t have to write on a note pad or dairy with a pen daily. You can type your thoughts on your mobile phone or iPad or laptop whenever you get time. But do pen down your feelings. You will feel weightless within yourself.

Benefits of journaling
* Writing everyday boosts your self esteem and improves your mood.
* It helps you in understanding your own stand and position in life.
* It helps you realizing how much you have in life and makes you feel grateful for it.
* It helps you in solving your internal struggles in life and strengthens you emotionally.
* Helps in reducing stress, anxiety and heals any kind of mental traumatic experiences.
* Helps in sleeping better and improves memory as well.
* Helps you staying focused on your life goals.
* Improves communication skills.
* It helps you in learning from your own experiences on a daily basis.

How to stay organized?

For every minute spent in organizing, an hour is earned.
– Benjamin Franklin

Photo by Skylar Kang on Pexels.com

For many people keeping things organized is a big challenge, whether it is their brain or their house or their office desk, doesn’t matter how much they try, they end up messing things again.

Where as for some people staying organized comes naturally. They are always organized effortlessly. No one is born with this skill. One has to develop it with time. It’s not like one day you can clean everything and expect it will stay like that throughout your life. It takes few practices on daily basis. But mostly you first need to organize your brain. If you can organize and compartmentalize everything in your brain your life will automatically fall into right place as well.

It’s really not that difficult if you follow few very simple tips in your daily life. Plus by being organized you can be more productive, efficient and you can save a lot of time in your 24 hours.

Photo by Zen Chung on Pexels.com

– Always make a list or a mental note of your top most important tasks so that it is always done on time.
– Never let things pile up, always go with the process do the things that should be done.
Like when you enter your house after a long day don’t stash you bag on the floor along with your shoes, rather keep it in place, it will take the same energy as it takes to just put it on the ground. Once you change into fresh cloths, make sure to fold your used cloths or put it directly into laundry hamper if it needs to be cleaned.
– Do it now and stop procrastinating Once you let the thought enter into your mind that, “I will do it after sometime.” Do know that, the time will keep going and you will end up with a lot of more work to do at the last moment.
– Try doing one thing at a time. If you can focus on one thing, you can finish it much sooner.
– Learn to keep things in right place once you have used it.
– Take control of how you use your time.
– It’s better to declutter regularly. If everyday you keep check of things that you are not going to use anymore than you will have less things to organize. The more stuff you have, the more time it will consume to organize everything.

– Keep checking things off your long list of things to do.
– Avoid going for perfection.
– Take proper rest and so that you don’t feel lethargic.
– Mark your calendar for important stuffs to keep a track of everything that needs to be done.

Book Review: How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie

It isn’t what you have or who you are or where you are or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy. It is what you think about it.
– Dale Carnegie

We are living in twenty first century and in the current times making friends digitally is very very easy. People talk virtually through many social media platforms but when it comes to making real friends and having a real bond, most of us are lacking behind. Dale Carnegie wrote the book “How to win friends and influence people” in the year 1936 but it is still one of the best book which can help you in making a reliable social circle of your own in today’s time.

Carnegie has explained each and every step and point in a very understandable way. And the best part is he has jotted down very small and minute things which we hardly ever notice in our own way of talking and meeting people. Like at times we meet people and talk to them, but we don’t show complete interest in what they are saying but in return we do expect them to give us their complete attention.

He has pointed out how we want others to like us but we never take the initiative in liking them first. We want to be important part of other people’s lives but we never try to make them feel that they are important to us. The only way to influence other people is to talk about what they want and show them how to get it. These are few examples of how Carnegie has explained in the book the process of making new friends and wining them and how to influence people towards the betterment of our lives and getting success. But at few points I did felt that all the steps mentioned in the book is not relatable by all kind of personalities. It may happen that few of the steps may conflict your own opinion in life. But having said so, to change your life you have to come out of your own comfort zone.

Inner voice being demolished by social noise!

Do one thing every day that scares you.
– Eleanor Roosevelt

Photo by Anete Lusina on Pexels.com

Has it ever occur to you how much of your ideas and creativity became soundless in your brain by the noise created on the social ground?

You might even have forgotten those great ideas because it was constantly fed into your brain like, ” Do you think you are capable of actually doing it?”
“Yeah, as if you can accomplish something like that!”
“It’s not very practical in reality.”
“It’s very risky for you.”
“What if you do it and fail?”
“You are a grownup now, try to understand and take action on your responsibilities.”
“Dreams are good when you are sleeping.”

There are many more examples that I can give but I guess you understand the gist of what I am talking about. Right!

Photo by Thiago Matos on Pexels.com

In a few seconds of hearing those statements, your brain starts to shrink and you literally forget the reason it all started and you look towards your daily life. You feel like why to mess it up when everything is going normal for me.

Well, this is very common in our day to day life, as in we are literally nurtured into this social way of fitting into a flock.

How often you feel guilty for having those dreams and passion which seems very impractical in nature to society’s eyes?
Internally you start scolding yourself for having those thoughts.

As if when you will fail in making those attempts to achieve your dream to make it true, those people will have to live the burden of your pain.

The funniest thing is everyone has one of those daydreams which they want to fulfil, but most of them don’t have the guts to take the risk or take that required first step forward. So even though they know it will literally change their own life if they make one single move, what they actually end up doing? They try to stop others as well to do the same thing.

I really admire those people who actually encourage someone to take the leap and actually stand behind them to catch that someone if they fall.

So the point of all this is what kind of person you want to be?
Whether you want to leap yourself or not is a totally different matter.
But I guess our society needs more of those kinds of people who support you and push you to stand up and try again when you fall and are wounded and bleeding.

It takes a lot to put efforts and keep trying to achieve your own dream. But it takes a lot more effort to take a stand for someone else so that they can achieve their dream.
If we can be one of those people, then maybe we can see more successful and happy people around us, who can inspire others to leap in their life.

Book Review: The Success Principles by Jack Canfield with Janet Switzer

Decide what it is you want, write it down, review it constantly, and each day do something that moves you towards those goals.
– Jack Canfield

This one particular book is worth reading for people trying to achieve whatever they want in life. Jack Canfield who is an motivational speaker, an entrepreneur and an author has jacked up all self-help books into one in this book. Jack has taken real life stories from all over the world achievers and has written along with the principles to guide you to take one step at a time towards success.

There are total of 64 chapters in this book as in 64 principles. I guess many of you might prefer to read a book in one go but what I felt as a good approach to read this book is to take it one chapter at a time. Read one chapter and try implementing it in your life and when you feel the changes visible within you, go to the next chapter.

This principles not only helps you to achieve your goals but also give you confidence that you can actually do it. It also helps you becoming a better version of yourself and remove all the negative aspects of your personality. It will change your perspective towards how you solve the problems you are facing in life.

Source taken from JackCanfield.com

What makes it believable is that Jack has mentioned the case studies about situations faced by real life successful people and how they took actions, made changes to achieve their dreams and on today’s date they are known for their achievements.

Plus with this book comes a free online complimentary course, which will help you understanding how to implement and learn those principles. And the very first principle that is taught in this book is to take 100% responsibility of your life. That means you shouldn’t blame life or circumstance or any other person for all the wrong happening in your life. Because you always a have choice to get out of a situation you are currently in. By taking full responsibility of your life, you take the first step towards gaining the confidence of changing your life.

OCD: Obsessive compulsive disorder

I do not have OCD. I have checked, three or four hundred times, and I definitely don’t have it.
– David Mitchell

OCD is a mental illness which causes repeated thoughts or urge to do something again and again. It might be washing hands again and again or cleaning something over again even though it’s already clean, counting steps or checking on something even though nothing is changed. Some people might only have obsession or compulsion or both at times. It is beyond their own control and trying to deny it makes them cranky and frustrated. They keep trying to organize or straighten things repetitively till to the point of their satisfaction.

Though in OCD being obsessed and being compulsive can be different from each other.

Symptoms of Obsession in OCD
Obsession in OCD is very persistent and repetitive in nature. It causes images in brain which is very difficult to get out of mind. Like as in everything around you is rotting or decaying. Few people get horrible visions and thoughts and end up having panic attacks. It can based on many things, like:
– Fear of losing control in life.
– Having aggressive and unwanted thoughts.
– Fear of dirt and being unhygienic.
– Difficulty in tolerating things which are not as per their approval.
– Insecurities becoming fear in it’s most brutal way and starts controlling the person’s every thought.

Symptoms of Compulsion in OCD
Compulsion in OCD is mainly repeating the same act again and again to control the anxiety caused by obsession which controls all the thoughts in the person’s brain. The person keeps doing the same thing again and again unconsciously to stop himself/herself from thinking those thoughts which has become an obsession in mind. Compulsive nature can be based on the following things:
– Washing and cleaning repetitively.
– Keeping things in order and in symmetry.
– Checking on lights, locks or stove in kitchen .
– Doing things in a particular order to have control over things.
– Following strict routine.
– Needing reassurance again and again.

But when people go into severe mode of OCD it is difficult to handle. And that happens when the person is too stressed or scared about something. For them it seems as if they are going to lose everything and they can’t do anything about it.

OCD can’t be cured completely but can be controlled with proper therapy sessions and medication. And few people learn to control it eventually but some of their habits becomes a part of their raw nature.

Ways to improve your vocabulary.

One forgets words as one forgets names.
One’s vocabulary needs constant fertilizing or it will die.
– Evelyn Waugh

We often struggle around putting words into a sentence.
Doesn’t matter which language we are trying to learn or master, when it comes to using words we are confused. Whether while we are writing or speaking, we fumble with our sentences and use fillers like ah, um, etc. and end up feeling helpless to express ourselves. And to become confident about it, we need to have a good hold on using correct word at the right place or situation.
It is important to know which word to use to express the situation perfectly that you are trying to explain.

Strengthening your vocabulary helps you better in communicating and expressing the facts better. It makes you confident and smart.

Ways to improve:
* Develop a reading habit.
Reading on a regular basis make you acquainted with the vast world of literature. You get the idea of using words and it’s synonyms and antonyms.
* Subscribe to the word of the day.
There are many websites and apps now a days which publish a word everyday with it’s meaning and way to use it. You can subscribe to those and get notification everyday.
* Play word games.
There are many words games, like scrabbles, crossword, word search, etc. You can test yourself and learn a lot by playing those games.
* Practice using new words in your daily conversation.
* Listen the speeches given by famous and successful people.
When people give any speech, most of them are well prepared about their facts and they prepare beforehand what to say and how to say to the point of perfection. Listening to them speaking helps a lot as well.
* Use the dictionary and thesaurus.
Whenever you are in doubt about any particular word, use dictionary or thesaurus and highlight that word for future reference. Highlighting with different colors will help your brain memories it much faster.
* Watch movies and TV series with subtitles.
* Try conversing with different people and notice their ways of using words in their statements. How they express their thoughts and their choice of words to do so will help you understand the particular language much better and it will get imprinted into your brain more easily.
* Try writing everyday.
When you make a habit of writing everyday, words start flowing to you automatically. Initially you might face some problems composing your sentences but eventually you will start to use the new words that you learn everyday by reading or talking to others.
* Learn the roots of the words.
When it comes to difficult and unusual words, you can search for it’s origin or how it was derived, that will help you in remembering them for a long time.

How to deal with caffeine withdrawal?

Addiction is an adaptation. It’s not you, It’s the cage you live in.
– Johann Hari.

Photo by Stas Knop on Pexels.com

Caffeine though said it is good for health, it can have it’s own side effects when consumed in too much dose. Caffeine stimulates the nerves in our body and keeps us active and alert for longer time. As we are busy in our day to day work, we use caffeine to focus and have an effective output. And eventually people come to a point where they actually have to stop their intake. But when they do so, they go through many other symptoms which is very difficult to deal with. People who are used to having caffeine on a regular basis, it can be very hard for them to stop it.

Symptoms of Caffeine withdrawal are headache, fatigue, mood swing, difficulty in focusing, constipation, tiredness, crankiness, anxiety, tremors, etc.

Ways to deal with those symptoms and stop the addiction as well:

Don’t stop caffeine intake abruptly
People who are trying to get out of caffeine addiction, for them it can be very difficult to do so. And cutting it completely will only make them more frustrated. So, it would be better to reduce it gradually.

Drink lots of non-caffeinated fluids
Staying hydrated can be the first step to prevent the craving of caffeine. Drink water as much as you can. Most of the time we are just thirsty. Including fruit juice can be of great help as well.

Healthy snacks
Dry fruits and nuts have many good minerals and nutrients which help your body in recovery and get the energy to stay active. So when you get the craving for caffeinated drinks, I would suggest you try having some healthy snacks which includes dry fruits and nuts.

Take small naps
Taking small power naps periodically throughout the day can help with fatigue and tiredness in body.

Ice pack
If you get headaches as part of the symptoms, you can apply ice pack on head and if it becomes severe you can take prescribed medication.

Peppermint Oil
Peppermint oil or menthol helps in improving in mood swings and also reduces the craving. It also helps in relieving tension in body.

Meditation
Having anxiety and panic attacks in this situation is very normal. Since caffeine helps you in staying focus and productive, suddenly without it you might feel incompetent. You may feel stressed and drained out as well. If you are going through this phase, meditation is your cure. Meditation calms you down and helps you stay focused through out the day.

Leaving past behind…

Every day may not be good
but there is something good in every day.
– Alice Morse Earle

We are entering into 2021 and leaving 2020 behind.
Year 2020 has been a critical year for all of us, many people have gone through many losses and pain. For few people this year was quite lonely. Wearing mask, fear of catching viruses, economical crisis, being quarantined, staying inside house 24×7, life has been full of chaos. But after going through all these we are ready to welcome a new year and we don’t know what 2021 is hiding in it’s box for us. But there is nothing wrong in keeping a good attitude and a hopeful mindset.

what can we take as lessons from 2020?
* Freedom shouldn’t be taken for granted.
* Happiness is created within ourselves.
* Never take basic things in life for granted.
* Difficult times shows us the reality.
* Just because we are alone at times, doesn’t mean we have to feel lonely.
* Self-care and self-love is a priority.
* Life is not a race of going big, life is all about surviving and being happy.
* Living in past or future, is not going to make our present any better.
* Time is the most limited resource on earth.

Leaving past behind and moving forward can obviously be difficult but on today’s date it a necessity.

Learn from past but don’t keep reliving it-
Negative experience can make a great impact on us. But living those moments again and again can only make our life more difficult.

Photo by RODNAE Productions on Pexels.com

Forgiving is the key to move forward in life-
At times people hurt us, either intentionally or unintentionally and what we do is keep making points on how we got hurt, or what went bad or how we could have prevented it. And we start holding grudge against those people, but at the end we are the one in pain. Once we find a way to forgive them, we can start moving on from the matter. Even if it is a guilt of making a mistake, find a way to forgive yourself.

Focus on the present moment-
Dwelling with past will keep you from living in the present and eventually you will regret losing it in future. And regrets will only weigh you down, mentally as well as physically.

Value the people who are around you in your difficult times and care about you-
In our difficult times we drown ourselves in so much pain that we don’t realize having people around us, who are actually trying to help us and are very caring. With time we don’t value their efforts towards us.

Start making new memories while cherishing the old ones in your heart-
Rather than looking at old pictures and being sad, we can cherish those moments in our heart and we can make some new memories to remember the current moment.

I wish you all and your family a very happy new year. I hope you all find prosperity, happiness and abundance in this new year.

Books

Book Review: Who Moved My Cheese? by Spencer Johnson

Does anyone ever like to welcome change into their life?
We all like to stay in our comfort zone and live our life blissfully, isn’t it?
But life doesn’t ever go as planned and we all are very well aware of it. So how do you deal with the changes that come in your journey of life? Do you embrace it happily or you start stressing out and stay stubbornly inside your precious cocoon?

This book tells a story of four different characters, who are facing the same situation but each one have a different approach to get out of it. When their only means of survival which is “cheese” is taken away from them, how they move on in life. Do they try to find a new way of survival or will they just give up? You need to read the book to know more about it.

Usually, self-help books are very directive with advice and instructions. But what I liked about this book is, you get to read a story and then you get to take life-lesson from it in your own perspective. Every person who reads this book tries to compare themselves with one of the four characters from the story.

There are a lot of people who are scared to get out of their comfort zone and many feel stuck in their current life. If you are one of those people, then this particular book is for you. In a way, it will make you believe that change can bring good into your life and make it better.

How Gratitude Changes Your Mind-set?

Acknowledging the good that you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.
– Eckhart Tolle

Photo by Public Domain Pictures on Pexels.com

Do you feel grateful for what you have in life? Do you say Thank You to the Universe for blessing your life with all the necessities? Or do you sulk all the day long about the job you are not getting, or the promotion you are not given, or the house you are not able to buy?
Do you ever feel thankful for just being alive, healthy and safe?

Have your ever thought about the fact that, the life you are living right now with all the privilege you have, out there, somewhere there is a person who is yearning and praying to have it? And yet we are not grateful for things in our life. Do you see the irony in that!

Indulging ourselves in to gratitude changes us in an amazing way. I started this routine almost two years back. Every day in the morning I write the things I feel grateful about. And I write Thank you for everything I have. I do this on the days when I don’t feel very good as well. Even when I am sick or upset, I still note down the points that I feel I am lucky to have in life. And eventually I noticed that it changed my mind set. It helped me deal with any kind of situation or failure in a much easier way. Because I was able to think at the end of the day that, “At least my life still going on and I can still try again.” Gratitude becomes a mind set and eventually your lifestyle changes.

It is said that you attract the things that you focus the most on. So if you focus more on the negative aspect of your life, More bad things will happen, and if you will focus on the positive aspect of your life, you will attract good things. So what do you want to attract into you life?

Photo by Anna Shvets on Pexels.com

Gratitude helps you handle toxic emotions and thoughts-
When something bad happens in our life or we don’t get something, our immediate thought is, “Why is it happening to me?” Have you ever just thought that, it is okay, I can deal with this. Have you tried to boost your own confidence and emotions by saying positive affirmations to yourself? I agree it is not a natural response to such situations. But if you try it, you might see a change in your thought process. You will be willing to try again and feel much better in a very bad situation.

Gratitude makes you more positive in nature-
Well that goes without saying that if you practice gratitude, you will be always focusing on the positive side of every situation. It becomes a powerful part of your nature.

Photo by Nav Photography on Pexels.com

Changes your perspective towards life-
Even when you have a bad day, at the end if you just think that, “Ok, I made it through the day and I am ready for tomorrow.” Can you see, how this kind of thinking will help you to make your life much easier and much less stressful.

You start to value the time you have in this world-
We never know how long we are going to live in this world and yet we take each and every day very casually. We always think of the things we “wish” to do but never actually do. Because we think we can do it tomorrow. What if that doesn’t happen? Gratitude helps you understand this fact.

You start valuing the people you have in your life-
How often do you say thank you to people who love you, for just being there in your life. We say so many things each and every day to our parents, family, friends, kids, siblings. But have you imagined your life without any of them? Can you feel the pain when you imagine that? Then say thank you to those people who love you and support you unconditionally. Say thank you to them for being there in your life.

Creates an abundance mind-set-
Once you make gratitude a part of your lifestyle, your belief in yourself and world expands in a very broader way. You start seeing good in everything and every situation. Your start seeing and exploring all kind of opportunities and avail them instantly.

Keeps you healthy, mentally as well as physically-
We often read this and get to hear that most of our problems are in our mind. Most of the people fall sick very often because they are heavily distressed. A healthy mind affects in a very good way to your physical health as well. Just think about it, how much changes you can bring into your life by just bringing these small changes in your way of thinking.

Photo by Dziana Hasanbekava on Pexels.com

Reduces emotional pain and improves your self-esteem-
As in the previous point I mentioned, gratitude reduces your pain, because you start focusing on good things. You start to feel lighter in mood and feel happy. And when you are happy your self esteem take a hike up the mountain.

How do you feel about yourself today? Do you feel blessed and lucky? Or do you feel unloved and dejected? Try writing down all the things that you have in life today. And do it again tomorrow and again day after tomorrow. Feel the difference in your life by just feeling grateful. As they say it, “The world is your oyster, make it beautiful.”

Gratitude looks to the Past and love to the Present; fear avarice, lust and ambition look ahead.
– C.S Lewis

Introverted People And Their Unique Traits.

Solitude matters, and for some people, it’s the air they breathe.
– Susan Cain

Have you ever come across with an introverted person? What was your first impression about them? Was it a pleasing experience for you?

I guess your first thought was, “What’s wrong with him/her?”
Right!

An introvert usually come across as very quiet, reserved and shy in nature. They are judged and misunderstood a lot by people around them and are often tagged with titles like Proud, Rude, Unsociable, Short tempered, Angry, Unapproachable, Aloof, etc.
But do they really deserve those titles or tags though?

There are lot of good traits of an introverted person and they struggle a lot to survive in society.

Finding alone time-
For introverts their solitude is a basic need. They are the most calm and at peace when they are alone. You can hardly ever find them complaining of getting bored or feeling lonely.

Photo by Daria Shevtsova on Pexels.com

Being invisible-
Introverts have this super-power of being invisible when they are in a group. Well not literally invisible but since they stay very quiet and prefer not to cross anyone’s path, no one notices them and they prefer it to be that way.

Good Observant and listener-
Introvert people don’t prefer to talk much but that doesn’t mean they are not interested in knowing people around. They are very keen observers by nature and they are very good listeners as well. If you somehow make an introvert person as your good friend, you are in with a friend who will listen to anything and everything you have to say. And they are very good at keeping secrets as well, which means you can rely on them and keep them in your trust worthy circle.

Overthinking-
Introverts are souls of heavy thinkers. They over analyze and over think on each and every matter. But even though, it might make it look like a bad trait, it has it’s own pros. They don’t judge people very easily. They analyze everything from each and everyone’s point of view and make up their mind that may be the person had their own reason to do what ever they have done.

Starting a conversation is hard-
For introverted people starting a conversation is really hard. Doesn’t matter how much close and familiar they are with a person, they usually wait for the person in front of them to start a conversation. And then they just start adding comments to the topic.

Misunderstood and underestimated by people-
Just because a person stays quiet doesn’t mean they are rude or proud in nature. It just means they are not very comfortable in approaching people to talk. Just because a person always denies to go clubbing or hanging out with you, that doesn’t mean they are unsociable or unapproachable, it just means they prefer to stay in quiet places rather than going to crowed places.
Introverted people get underestimated as well by people around them just because they never showcase or project their talents. Whereas these are the people with amazing hidden talents which when projected at right time leave people speechless and surprised.

These kind of people make a loving and caring life partner or friend-
Since introverts don’t prefer to show their emotion much they silently take good care of people who are very important to them. They are very compassionate in nature and have different and silent ways of showing their love and appreciation.

They prefer quality friends-
Introverts prefer quality friends rather than quantity. They have very few people in their social circle on whom they trust completely and can rely on them. And if required they are ready to do anything for them.

They come across as good leaders-
These kind of people are very good leaders. They usually are very considerate and take good care of people who work under them and always keep observing everything quietly. They try to analyze each and every employee’s skills and talents and utilize it at the right time.

Photo by Craig Adderley on Pexels.com

Uncomfortable by talking about themselves-
Introverts are usually very uncomfortable in situations where they have to talk or listen to people talking about themselves. They usually becomes very conscious and anxious in such situations.

Leaving or avoiding is easier-
For them it is easier to leave or avoid situations where they have to confront someone or handle something which is difficult. They don’t like confronting their own emotions as well. They feel very uncomfortable when crowded by people. And they avoid such situation because they can’t handle hurting anyone’s feelings.

They think before they speak-
Since they talk very less, they have a good control on their thoughts and words.

Quiet people have the loudest minds.

Book Review: The Bet by Anton Chekhov

Book Cover

The Bet” is a short story written by a Russian writer Anton Chekhov in 1889. It is a fiction story based on morality. Even though the story is short, Chekhov has shown what is the real beauty of life. Even though we are blessed wealthily in life, we generally take everything for granted. People don’t realize what actually matters in life for surviving. We never take in to account what the nature and society gives us on day to day basis to survive in this world.

It is an eye opening story and is definitely a must read. The story starts with a party where high level rich bankers and lawyers are socializing. And the discussion is going on whether capital punishment is worse than life imprisonment. They are debating that on one side capital punishment can be very brutal being death penalty and government shouldn’t take something that they cannot give back, on the other side life imprisonment is equally brutal as a person dies every single day being confined within a closed place with basic surviving necessities and no contact with the outer world.

When this is going on a young lawyer gets really furious saying that capital punishment is worse and for severe crime, life imprisonment is enough for redemption. At the same time a rich banker challenges the young lawyer that he would bet two millions if he could stay in solidarity imprisonment for even five year and survive. And to that the young lawyer said, if he would get two millions he can stay in solidarity for fifteen years.

And that’s when the bet starts. The young lawyer is kept in solidarity prison for fifteen years with no contact to outside. He is not allowed to hear or see anything that is going on outside. He is only given the privilege of food, books, wine and tobacco in his cell. He can ask for as many books or any kind of books he likes to read. He can get as much wine and tobacco through a small window in his room. If he completes his fifteen years then he gets two millions.

Now the suspense is will the young lawyer be able to survive this self imprisonment solidarity or will he fail? What will the rich banker do. Because two millions is a huge amount to pay for a bet.

To know what happens ahead and who wins the bet you need to read the book. 🙂

“Owning Your Own Personality”

The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are.
– Jim Morrison

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

It is normal human nature to feel loved, liked and wanted by the people around us. We want to fit in among the people we think are cool or popular. We want to be even noticed and recognized. In other words, we don’t want to be ghosted out of society.

And to do so we start making changes in ourselves. Like changing our appearance, way of dressing, talking, eating. Some people even start doing things which are completely opposite of their moral values and principles. In a way, we start pretending to be a person which we really aren’t. But is that a good way of living our life?

We say we don’t like those people who are faking it all the time but aren’t we doing the same every single day. We suppress our natural behavior to please other people. It is okay to explore new ways of lifestyle but continuing it even though if we are not comfortable just for the sake of hanging out with people who actually don’t like the real you is really not worth it.

You will eventually lose your true identity. That is why it is very important to own your own personality. How other people perceive you, is really not your job to worry about. If you are confident about yourself to own your strength and weakness as well, eventually you will be around people who will actually like you for who you really are.

People might point out all your imperfections, which is okay. We should take criticism positively but at times people just point out flaws which is actually an inconvenience for them. In that case, you don’t need to change yourself at all. At times what looks like a flaw to others is the greatest asset of our personality.

People with all kind of traits get a different kind of criticism from our society. An introverted person gets to hear that they don’t talk much to others and they don’t socialize much. Whereas an extroverted person gets to hear that they talk too much and become too much to handle by some people. A person who is very confident within their skin get to hear that they don’t have socializing manners or have no boundaries. So doesn’t matter who you are or how you are, there will be some people who will find you difficult. But all you need to do is ignore those comments and just admit it to yourself, that those people are not meant to be in your life with any deeper emotion.

  • Forgive your past deeds.
Whatever guilt or regret is holding you back, just let it go. We are human after all, we learn lessons by making mistakes in life. You need to forgive yourself for all your past actions and move on in life with a valuable lesson.
  • Stop comparing yourself with others.
Just because you find someone cool by their any particular action doesn’t mean it will make you look cool as well. As we are all different kind of people with different kind of traits, there are already a lot of things about you which makes you cool and remarkable. So don’t compare yourself with other people. You are best at other things which many people can’t even think of having or doing.
  • Follow your intuition.
We often have an inner voice which tells us what is right and what is wrong for us. If we follow that voice then we have already won the battle halfway into the road.
  • Accepts your fears.
It takes a lot of courage to admit to ourselves that we have insecurities and we are actually scared of a lot of things and circumstances in life. Just cause you have fears doesn’t make you any less. And accepting your fears will help you to get rid of them as well.
Photo by Sharon McCutcheon on Pexels.com
  • Love yourself the way you are.
You can’t expect people to love you for who you are if you don’t love yourself. You need to value yourself more than anyone else once in a while. It will help you with keeping your self-respect and dignity intact. In other words, it will make you a much stronger person.
  • Try to understand your own thoughts.
On a daily basis, we have numerous negative thoughts and since we keep reeling those thoughts in our mind from time to time, it becomes our reality. Because our brain starts believing those negative thoughts and directs us to take actions accordingly. Try to keep those thoughts at bay and try having a positive attitude.
  • Be confident about what you want in life.
Most of the people don’t even know what they want in their life. So they start listening to other people version of what they should want in their life, which again, as a result, makes them unhappy. Ask yourself what you want to be, how you want your life to be? Explore your option and start making the necessary changes for the same.
  • Take responsibility for your own life.
Rather than relying on someone else and blaming them later for the consequences that you go through, it is better to take full responsibility for your own life. In this way, you will eventually become the best version of yourself.

Knowing others is intelligence.
Knowing yourself is true wisdom.
Mastering others is strength.
Mastering yourself is true power.
– Lao Tzu

Why failures are important in life?

I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.
-Thomas Edison.

Photo by Everton Nobrega on Pexels.com

Well failure does hurt, doesn’t it?
When we fail, we feel as if our whole life has shattered. It hurts so much that we start questioning each and every aspect of our life. We get so demoralized that we give up at the same point. We feel ashamed of ourselves and think we are good for nothing.
Isn’t it right?

But we have so many examples in our society where people are very highly successful. And whenever they are questioned, how they achieved success, they start their story from the point of their failures. Why so?

That is because failure is a part of life. It is as important as is breathing. Is there is a single person who has never seen failure in life?
NO!
Do you know Walt Disney was told by his former editor that he lacked imagination and doesn’t have any good ideas. Can you believe it? A person who created all those cartoon shows was told that he lacked imagination!
J.K Rowling was broke, divorced, depressed and a single mother while she was writing the book “Harry Potter”. Her manuscript was rejected multiple times by many publishers and see where she is today. She is one of the richest writer in the world.
Do you know Oprah Winfrey was fired from her first job as a TV anchor and now she is a billionaire and has her own TV channel.

Take any field in life. Whether it is an exam, a job interview, a business that you started, your finances, relationships, any particular discovery and list go on and on. Everyone faced failure at some point in their life. Some people seem to fail in multiple fields as well.

What I feel is, failure makes us a much better and stronger person. Even when I failed in many fields of my life, every time I felt as if my life is done. It’s like everything seems darker and there is nowhere to go and nothing left to do. But on a longer run, I feel grateful that I failed. Because failure made me the person I am today. It gave me the strength to withstand anything that life throws in my path. It gave me the time to re-evaluate my flaws and seek out my interests.

Many times we pursue something in life because of pressure, or by emotional force or maybe at times we don’t even know what we want from life. Like, maybe you are pursuing a career or a field of study because your family wanted you to, or maybe you think it is a stable field to get settled in life or maybe you didn’t even know any better what other things you can do in life. So you continued with the thing and ended up failing.
And then you started asking, “Why me?”
“What did I do wrong?”
“Why everyone else got good marks but I couldn’t?”
“Why they got the promotion but I couldn’t?”
“Why did my relationship failed?”
“Why am I even doing this if all I get is disappointment?”

Believe me, everyone feels the same, but once you cross this particular barrier everything starts falling in perspective. Ask yourself, what happened back at the time? Are you really interested in that particular field or person? If not then maybe it’s time to start exploring what is best for you. You just need to boost up morally and power through it.
And if you are already following your passion and seem to fail at it even after giving your best efforts, then you need to re-evaluate your way of working. Like, start with the process or routine you follow and try to find out, at what point it went wrong. Seek for help who can guide you to rectify your mistakes. But giving up isn’t going to help you go where you want to reach.

It is very important to own our failures and accept the fact that we need to get better. Take full responsibility of your actions and be proud of yourself that at least your tried rather than sitting around doing nothing. No one is perfect! You might see people who are successful, bouncing on the path of fame and eating on a silver platter. But go and see their journey to where they are today, they have suffered a lot to achieve the life they are living today. They went through multiple failures to learn what they are best at doing at present date.

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com
  • Failure makes you more resilient in life. Once you recover from the internal turmoil you go through, you become much stronger person. You get the strength to face anything.
  • You gain a lot of experience in the field. You learn what works and what doesn’t. You gain knowledge as well on a much deeper level.
  • When you start to evaluate your process and re-map a better way of approach to it, you grow within you. You see everything from a fresh perspective.
  • Failure teaches you the value of success. Maybe before you didn’t take it much seriously because you were overconfident. But once you fail at it, you understand your own desperation to achieve it.
  • You realize that nothing is permanent. Failure or success, both are temporary in life.
  • Failure makes you fearless. Well once you fail, your fear is already gone. You already know how it feels and suddenly you go for it without any concern of failing again.
  • Failure keeps your ego in check. Since you have already faced it, you learn to appreciate other people’s struggle in life as well. You don’t diminish other people at their low point.
  • Your mindset changes towards your life. You learn the real meaning of life.

All of these benefits only apply when you let go of the past but take the lessons from it and move forward. All the people out there who are feeling bad about themselves and are feeling depressed, please believe me your life has really started now. Be hopeful and believe in yourself because working hard and putting your best efforts never goes in vain.

Ways to keep toxic people at bay!

Pay no attention to toxic words. What people say is often a reflection of themselves, not you.
– Christian Baloga

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

How many times have you felt suffocated by your surroundings? Does it makes you feel like bursting into flames? Or do you feel like drowning yourself? Well may be you need to understand that you might be living in a toxic environment. Often we are in company of bunch of self-absorbed people who always belittle you for every move you make.

As human beings, we tend to live in a group of people as so called “society”, we often cross path with some particular kind of people who are very difficult to tolerate. And doesn’t matter how much we try, we cannot avoid them. Honestly it’s not worth the energy to even try. So we make up our mind to just adjust with the situation. We socialize with this people day in and day out without a choice. And when we do that somehow they get the power to mess with our brain and feelings. And we let them.

But can you really save yourself from this torment? Of course you can! We have a tendency to please people around us and that’s what gets us in this problem in first place.
“Will I look bad if I try to fight?”
“Will it be rude to stand up for myself at this situation?”
“People will talk about me if I say this out loud?”
“Will I lose my job if I object?”
“What if I end up alone if I avoid these people?”
Sounds familiar right!

I go through this situations as well. And when we keep our feelings and anger bottled up for long time, we become depressed and frustrated. At times we end up hurting people who are actually good and important to us. People who actually care for us. How is that any good? But may be we can change that. May be if we know how to deal with toxic people, we can stay happy and live with a healthy mind set. I am going to list down some ways to keep these kind of people at bay.

Photo by Zachary DeBottis on Pexels.com

Recognize the toxic nature- First we need to recognize who are these people and what kind of nature they have. Do they make you uncomfortable with there statements? They are negative about anything and everything you do. They will always discourage you for any action you take for your own betterment. When you share your creative ideas, they might make fun of you and joke around in front of others. Don’t worry, it’s not about you. It is about them never coming up with anything good by themselves. And you cannot change them by any means. You can’t save them from their own hell.

Set limits and boundaries- Set boundaries about socializing with them. I understand it is not always possible to avoid these people all the time but try reducing it to minimum. Meet them or talk to them when it is really necessary.

Be on the positive side- You need to believe in yourself first. Be so confident about yourself that no one can break you with snarky comments. If you have goals to achieve, then stop listening to people who underestimate your ideas. Don’t show them your weakness, or they will some how find a way to creep inside your head again. Self preservation should be your main motto. Remember it is their own self incompetence that makes them behave that way.

Break it off- If it is intolerable just break it off. It is definitely not worth it to keep these people in your life, if all they do is break you from inside. You may lose some more friends along with them but at least you will learn to live with your dignity intact.

Learn to stand up for yourself- At times you have to fight for yourself. Because when you stay quite, you give them the power to control you and your brain. You start behaving the way they want. If you are in a situation where you feel insulted and humiliated, just say the things that you believe and walk away.

Photo by Ketut Subiyanto on Pexels.com

Try making healthy relationships- Try making new friends or try hanging out with people who really appreciate your presence. What’s the point of hanging out with people who talk about you in a bad way when you are not around. People who are true to you and actually like you, won’t talk bad about you or make fun of you behind your back. So hang out with people who actually care about you and help you grow in life. Who can have your back when you try to conquer the world.

Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambition.
-Mark Twain

Book Review: Girl in room 105 by Chetan Bhagat

Hello Everyone!

Here is my next book review.

Click on the above image to buy.

I read this book and I can say that it’s a total page turner. Meaning you can’t stop yourself to read it till the end. People who have read other books written by Chetan Bhagat will find this particular book very refreshing. First time he has written a murder mystery book and I was euphoric to read it. The story was very well outlined.

This book has everything in it, murder, suspense that’s gonna keep you on edge, heartbreak, terrorism, politics. Well in a way everything is covered.

The story is about a guy Keshav and a girl name Zara. Keshav is a former IIT student who falls in love with a girl named Zara from Kashmir and obviously she is very beautiful, in a way every guy’s dream girl. She is smart, talented and very popular. Where Keshav is a son of senior RSS member and Zara is a Muslim girl from Kashmir you can understand what a controversial and dramatic story it can be. While Keshav is struggling with his career to get a good job in a good MNC IT company and is teaching in coaching center to survive, Zara is pursuing her PhD in IIT Delhi. They fall in love and have an amazing relationship and eventually they breakup because of family unacceptance and mutual disagreement. Suddenly after four years of breakup Keshav gets text messages from Zara on her birthday night to meet her like old times to reconnect, that’s when the story actually starts. Because when he reaches to her room to wish her happy birthday, he finds her dead.

Obviously he is shocked to death and in the same time he himself falls into a terrible position. Because when he sees the love of his life dead in front of his eyes he also becomes a prime suspect to her death. How he gets out of suspects list and gets the urge to find the actual killer is a thrilling journey. The story is narrated by Keshav throughout the book and as he calls it is an “unlove story”. And then Keshav starts digging for clues with the help of his best friend/roommate Sourav to find the real killer. Hopefully you will find this book as riveting as I found it.

Habits of Successful People

Success isn’t over night. It’s when everyday you get a little better than before. It adds up.
– Dwayne Johnson

Photo by Gerd Altmann on Pexels.com

Hello Everyone!

Today I am writing about habits of highly successful people. From past few months I have been trying to implement few of them into my lifestyle and I really feel amazing change in my health and mindset. Some how I feel it changes the way you think as well. It is told by researchers that to implement any particular habit, it takes 21 days of repetition. If you stick to a habit for 21 days straight, your brain starts to get into the pattern. So I am going to list those habits down for you and I also encourage you to at least try implementing few of them into your lifestyle.

Self-Discipline and Consistency– Well discipline is big on successful people’s plate. This is one of the main reason for who they are today. Do you think an athlete will achieve success if he/she doesn’t have a planned routine for practice? If he/she is not consistent to practice everyday, can they win any game at all? That’s why it is very important to plan your days and stick to it every day if you really want to be successful.

Photo by Joseph Redfield on Pexels.com

They start their day early- Waking up early is always told as a good habit by our elders. But we hardly ever bother to consider it. But guess what, most of the successful people make sure to wake up early and start their day as soon as possible. I know its hard, at least for me it is really hard. But if we think about it, when we have a motive, we do get up on time. Like when we have to catch an early bus or flight. When we have planned a trip for a vacation, we are actually happy to get up early but why don’t we do that every day. That is because we lack a motive. If you give yourself a motive of why you need to wake up early, it might become easier every morning. Plus you get a lot of time for yourself and to get things done. Just think about the days when you are late and you take a shower in a hurry, you get dressed in a hurry and you even skip you breakfast. And in that process you go through lot of mishaps. you really don’t like those days, do you?

They make reading a priority- Successful people make sure they make some time throughout the day to read a book or articles or anything of their interest. Reading helps you to gain knowledge and also makes you confident and raises your self-esteem. It may be just for 15 mins every day but I suggest you make some time to read.

Take time for yourself- Everyday you should definitely make time for yourself when you can think about yourself. It’s called “self-reflection”. You think about “what you are doing in life?”. “Are you going in the right direction of your goal?”.
Think how you can make your life better. I suggest you do this in a peaceful time but not before going to sleep. It might make you stressful and you will end up losing sleep. It is better to have this alone time after waking up.

Stay Healthy- Successful people make their health a priority. They get up early and they also sleep on time to get the necessary hours of sleep. Well they do have to burn the midnight oil once in while but they make sure to get back into their routine. They exercise, may be not daily but they make time for specific days in a week. Some people say exercising helps them to release stress and keep focus throughout the day.

Set goals and get going- Well once you set a goal, you need to make an action plan. Successful people don’t laze around thinking, “Hey I want to achieve that one day”. Well that day never shows up. What they do is they make a plan of what needs to be done to achieve their goal and they actually start implementing the plan.

Don’t waste time- When you are passionate enough about your goal, you don’t waste time. There will be always something to do. Successful people don’t waste their time watching movies on a couch by eating pop corn. They don’t go to party every weekend at some club. They do it once they achieve their goals to celebrate. And whatever time they get, they spend it with their family or people who are important to them.

Stay focused and be honest- As I talked about being consistent in beginning, well it is really important. You need to stay focused and don’t give up when you fall after crossing a bump. If you are being honest to yourself, then you will never lose your focus. Just ask yourself, What benefit are you going to get if you keep lying to yourself.

Today is your opportunity to build the tomorrow you want.
-Ken Poirot

Book Review: Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer

Click on the above link to buy.

Hello Everyone!

So I read this book recently “Midnight Sun” by Stephenie Meyer. It is a companion novel to the book “Twilight”. The Twilight book came in 2005, in which the whole story was narrated by the female protagonist Bella. It was Bella’s side of the story with her perspective about her love story showing her compassion for Edward even though he is a vampire. But in the entire series, we never got to know Edwards thought or his feelings about being in love with a human.

Well people who loved the Twilight series, for them this book is a treat to sink their teeth into. You are going to know Edward’s struggle about his feelings for Bella while his thirst is overpowering his senses. How he falls in love with a human being when all his senses are pushing him to just quench his thirst for blood? Well, this book is going to tell you all about it. Being a vampire, Edward is also gifted with the power of reading people’s mind and hearing everything that is going on in their head. And also he is much faster than other vampires. Well, the twist is he can’t read only one particular human’s mind and obviously it’s Bella. These things are already told in the book Twilight. But in Midnight Sun you will get to know how this particular twist makes Edward curious about the girl he wants to kill the most in the entire world. How his curiosity overpowers his normal senses and reflexes and while he tries to figure this girl out he falls in love with her.

It’s quite funny and romantic, the way Edward tries to figure out Bella by just talking to her and asking her about her favorite books, movies, food, color etc. Well, normal human beings get to know each other the same way, while they make guess and make mental judgements. But being a vampire with the ability to read minds, trying to figure out a human without this ability is very irritating for him.

In this book, you will also get to know more about Edward’s family. You will get to know in detail about Edward’s foster parents and foster brother and sister. And how they react to the addition of Bella into their life.

People who haven’t read the Twilight series yet, even they can also start with this book and if you like the story then you are definitely going to read the Twilight series as well.

Ways to stop worrying about what others think about you!

Great spirits have always encountered violent opposition from mediocre minds.
– Albert Einstein

Photo by Eternal Happiness on Pexels.com

Hello everyone
In our society people often spend half of their time thinking what others are thinking about them. Even I do the same. But are you really being fair to yourself? We suppress our wishes and dreams just for the sake of people who actually doesn’t matter much. I mean is someone else going to live your life for you. We care too much about what society will think. We don’t give our own happiness much priority and go against what is actually right for us. I feel it is really the norm of our so called “society” which pressurize us to do what they feel is correct. They try to control our life and steal the happiness and our right to live a fulfilling life. I mean we really live once. Right!!!

We plan so many things for our future and make course of actions, and these people they suddenly jump into an opportunity to criticize us for it and say that it is a wrong thing to do. And eventually we end up doing what others want us do, which makes us miserable and unhappy. It takes real courage to stand up to this people and go through your plan. And once you succeed, the same people will be standing by your side saying that, “We are really happy for you and we are proud of your success.”.

Have it ever occurred to you that may be these people also did the same thing in their life by being pressurized by others? And they want you to do the same as well, because they don’t know any other way.

At times even your own family members will be standing against your wishes. The same family members who love you and want you to be happy, be safe and well-settled. But until and unless you are happy, can they be happy around you? I don’t think so. It is really like a process which people have created through rules and regulations which you have to follow and stay in the pothole where there is no escape.

But to really be happy in life and really achieve your goals, you have to break some rules. And for breaking those rules there will be some consequences which you actually have to go through for a certain span of time. Once you have crossed that barrier, the world will be your oyster. I know it is easy to say but difficult to implement. But have anyone achieved anything without a struggle? Or will you feel accomplished without going through the struggle?

NO!!

Today I want to share few ways with you all which might help you in surviving those situations and really go ahead with your choices. People will talk. Today it is you, tomorrow it will be someone else. But it is you who have to live your life.

Focus what is important for you.
If you focus really on what is important to you, then you can ignore all those chatter easily. Because you will be busy taking the actions towards achieving what you want in life.

Love and accept yourself.
People will point out your flaws all the time. Keep in mind that those are the flaws in their eyes because it is an inconvenience for them. They will say lot of bad things about you, behind your back because they can’t really handle you. So it is their problem. You need to love yourself the way you are. Own yourself.

It’s your life.
Well if you break your leg, will some else go through the pain while your leg is healing? No right? Then if something wrong happens in your life, will someone else struggle for you. It is your life! You have to live it. No one is going to live your life for you. It is you who have to take full responsibility of your life. If you make mistake, it is you who have to fix it. If you are successful, it is you who is going to enjoy it. Others can be there for you in your happiness and sadness, but they can’t really live it. So think about what you are going to do.

People don’t care that much.
We spend lot of our time, literally wasting our time being anxious over what everyone will say. “What they will think.” Well flashing news!! People don’t have that much time. Everyone is busy trying to survive their own life. No one has that much time to think about what you are doing. And if there are such people, then think like this that “they really don’t have anything better to do with their lives.”

Photo by Naveen Annam on Pexels.com

Keep perspective.
Other people opinion is often based on their own life principles and experiences. What they think is good may not be good for you. What is working for them may not work for you. Every person has their own personality and thought process. You have to discover what is best for you and work it out
.

Don’t go for perfection.
Perfection is actually over rated. At times flaws gives you the best experience. If you keep trying to be perfect for others, then you will surely fall way down on your own peace of mind.

You can’t please everyone.
If there are ten people around you, can you make everyone happy? Each person will have their own choices, is it your job to fulfill everyone’s demands? It is nearly impossible to please each and everyone. In one way or other, you will make some one sad. But that is okay. You don’t need to be a people pleaser.

You know what is best for you.
When you visualize your dreams, you know how much happy it will make you to achieve those in reality. And you know it will be the best thing that you can do for yourself. So don’t hesitate. Live your dreams and do what is best for you.

Honestly what other people think in their own time is none of your business.
Really I don’t need to say anything here. Will you be offended if someone blames you for thinking something in your head in your own time? Of-course you will be. You will immediately say that, “It’s none of your business”. Then why do we make it our business by what others are thinking in their head in their own space.

Photo by Elly Fairytale on Pexels.com

Life is too short.
We never know how much time we really have to live on this earth. And it is really not worth it to waste this short life by being anxious, worried and sad.

Spend life with the people who make you happy, not the people who you have to impress.

I hope you can find those points helpful in some way and ease yourself. Please like and follow my page to get the future updates from my website and please write your suggestions below in the comment section to help me improve my posts.

Affirmations- How does it really works?

If you really think small, your world will be small.
If you think big, your world will be big.
-Paulo Choelho

Photo by Marcelo Chagas on Pexels.com

Hello everyone.
In life we face lot of emotions on daily basis. Sometimes good and at times bad. We go through lot of ups and downs, due to which our emotions are always on a roller-coaster ride. Specially with current pandemic situation, we all are feeling a bit gloomy. We all are emotionally down because somehow our life is not going the way we want or the way we have planned it to go. In such situation it is very difficult to stay positive and feel confident about yourself. In such times how to keep those self sabotaging thoughts and stress away from us?

What are affirmations?
Affirmations are positive statements that we tell our self repeatedly to challenge our sub-conscious mind to stay in a positive mindset despite of the situation. Its a way to keep the negative thoughts at bay.

“I am happy.”
“I am confident.”
“I am good at what I do.”
“I am worthy.”
“I am enough.”
“I am healthy.”

These are a few simple examples of affirmations. It can vary on with situations and person of-course. Saying such statements to yourself every day can boost your confidence as well as can make your mind work in extraordinary ways. Its kind of meditating when you say those affirmations to yourself. You can do this early morning or at night before going to sleep. Or anytime that works for you. But do this in a clam state of mind.

Some people do this when they are meditating, saying in mind again and again. But you can say it to yourself out load or by writing it down in a journal everyday. Motive is to say it as many times till it takes to believe it by heart. I usually write it down in my journal everyday in the morning. I list down all the things I am grateful about and then I write all the affirmations I need and say it in my mind.

Photo by Niko Twisty on Pexels.com

Honestly I feel it is life changing. After doing it every day you will experience a change in your mood and in your state of mind as well. Those positive affirmations makes you believe in your self and eventually you can see the change in yourself. With each day you will be more confident in achieving your goals. Suddenly you will realize that the things that used to make you nervous or stressed will seem much easier. It is our subconscious mind that starts believing that we can do it and directs our actions in the right direction.

I have been doing this from a long time and I can say it with guarantee that it really does works. Try observing the areas you feel weak or the areas of your life that you want to change. And keeping those areas in focus, and writing down positive reinforcing statements on a piece of paper. Then read those statements to yourself everyday as many times as you can. And then see the change yourself.

Fairy tales- what we took out of these stories?

If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.
– Albert Einstein

Hello guys.. I hope everything is going good for you. It’s going good for me as well.

Fairy Tales

So today I was remembering my childhood times when my mother used to tell me stories everyday to get me to eat my food. While making me eat she used to tell me lot of mythological stories, fairy tales and historical stories as well. I was so mesmerized by the stories that I used to eat my food without any complain. And my mother had to repeat those stories again and again on my request.

The thing is when we read these stories, we always like the endings. It fascinates us that with so much of troubles also the characters get their happy endings. It is always said that the fairy tales always have a happy ending. And we also wish the same for our life.

Eventually when we grow up and face reality of life. We choose to believe that fairy tales are actually made up stories to entertain children. But is it like that though? Is it merely a story to keep the children engaged and happy? Does happy ending really doesn’t occur in real life? Have you ever wondered about this? I guess no. Till day there are a lot of grown up people enjoy Disney movies with fascination, as if it is an escape from reality for two hours of our tedious life. And lot of people just ignore it saying, “It has no reality to it. Its just animated stories.”

Well I think we need a new perspective to this entire topic. I agree, after growing to a certain age and having a reality check, I also thought that okay fairy tales never really come true. Being said though I never really understood those stories. Watching all those fairy movies, Disney movies and Barbie movies too, I was always fascinated by the character’s beauty or charm or the happy endings. I never really paid attention to the moral of those stories.

Cinderella and Prince Charming

If we look into each and every story, we can see that the characters have taken lot of courage to change their life and get their happy ending. Like Cinderella would’t have met the prince of her life if she would have denied to take the risk of going to the ball dance. Of course she made a wish and God mother fairy made it possible for her to go to the ball dance in beautiful dress and a pumpkin ride. But what if she never had the guts to make that wish, or what if she was scared to take the risk of going to ball in disguise and returning before midnight. She would have never gotten the happy ending she wanted. But she grabbed the opportunity to live one evening of her life happily and that became her forever after. Same goes for Snow white, Rapunzel, Mulan, Tinker bell, Sleeping Beauty and even Beauty and the Beast. In Beauty and the Beast, if Belle hadn’t showed the courage to free her father and take his place in the Beast’s palace as a hostage, would she have gotten her happy ending. Or would Beast have become a Prince again, if he wouldn’t have accepted his rude behavior and changed it for love? I don’t think so!

Beauty and the Beast

Deeper meaning resides in the fairy tales told to me in my childhood than in the truth that is taught by life.
-Friedrich Schiller

People say fairy tales poisons our mind from the reality. I say fairy tales teach us lessons which we ignore in long run of our life. In each and every story, we can see and learn that life is all about taking chances, grabbing opportunities, showing courage and taking risks.

Now a days we watch so much of super hero movies and read comics, and we still ignore the lesson it teaches us. We read this comics and watch this movies as entertainment where as there are lot of hidden lessons behind it. Like taking risk and using our technology for good purpose and serving for the good of human kind and fighting the bad or evil. Isn’t that what is the gist of those movies and stories. But we watch it for the actions and dramas.

Ways to stop procrastination..

You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today.
– Abraham Lincoln

Procrastination is like a credit card: It’s a lot of fun until you get the bills.
– Christopher Parker

Hello there everyone.

So today I am going to talk about something I was also doing a while ago. And I really needed some push to avoid it. Procrastinating is one of the issue a lot of people face on day to day basis.

Have you been trying to avoid a certain work or task that is actually on a target to be done soon? Have you set some goals for yourself which you always think you are going to achieve “someday”? That yoga class which you always plan to start next “Monday”. Sounds familiar right!!!

Well, it’s really not a good trait to have in the long run. Eventually, it becomes a habit and it makes you lazy. After some time you feel like you are nowhere in life. And people around you don’t take you seriously either.

I am going to list down a few ways which helped me and maybe you can relate yourself with those and try to change a few things in your life too.

1. Change your mindset – Its one of the most important key to change or remove this particular habit out of your daily routine. First, it is very important to be determined to do whatever you wish for. Say positive affirmations to yourself every day to become confident that you can do this. Every morning when you wake up, say it to yourself,” I can achieve anything I want”.

2. Discipline – Having a disciplined lifestyle improves your productivity to the highest levels. Keeping your day in order helps you to do the tasks on time and achieve the best results that you expect from yourself. Try to gain the will power to follow the routine that you set. If you set your alarm at 5 am then get out of bed at the same time without hitting the snooze button. If you have put a particular task in your list to be done today, then do it today, unless you have dependencies on others to do the work which is reasonable.

3. Start simple – Generally, when we set goals for us, we tend to go a bit over the board. Even though we sometimes don’t know how to do things or how to start. And eventually, we get frustrated and give up. Do some research on the task and how to start with it. Be well prepare knowledge-wise about it before you start. Take baby steps initially and once you get the understanding, start exploring till you actually do it.

4. Start making To-Do Lists – Making a list of the tasks that need to be done is the easiest way to keep a track of your work. First, make a list of all the goals that you want to achieve and then make sub-lists for each goal with the steps that need to be done. And every time you go through each step, you can cross it out of the list. And to motivate yourself you can set some rewards for yourself with each small achievements.

5. Assign a particular time for the tasks on your lists– As we discussed it is better to have a disciplined life, you can set some time limit for each task. And try to stay within this assigned time to get the best result. It might happen that sometimes you might not be able to complete it within that time set, but there is no reason to panic. We are after all humans, not some machines which can work on codes. So if you ever feel like you are getting behind of your time schedule, just adjust it within your routine. There must be some other task which you can finish in lesser time but you might have given more time limit to that task just to be on the safe side. So modify those limits and you are good to go.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.
– Nelson Mandela

6. Stop trying to be a perfectionist – Often people try to be perfect and try to control every aspect of their life which makes them exhausted. Believe me, I am one of those people. But if we see out of the picture, it is just not possible. Some times we try to do things in our way and get carried away from the real goal. If you are assigning any tasks to others, then have faith in them and guide them to do the task in their way. If you will keep controlling everything, you will definitely end up being a failure on a bigger picture. Which is really devastating. Try to be realistic and give your best at your work.

7. Make failure a positive thing – People often fear failure, I mean it’s a natural thing actually but have you ever thought about. Every time we fail at something we learn our own slackness. We learn our limits. And it is always said that if you want to succeed you have to push your limits. Just because you might fail, doesn’t mean you should never try. Yes, you might fail but you might succeed at it too. Isn’t it worth the risk? At-least you will learn something new in life and you will try again.

8. Lack of knowledge – Has it happened to you ever that you want to start doing something but never did because you have no idea at all how to do it. It is a common thing when we feel we don’t know something we tend to give up easily. we make up our mind that we will fail without even trying. This is where you need to take that step where you show your determination and eagerness to learn something new. Dedicate all your time to explore the whole field and gain knowledge until you feel confident to start the task in real-time. Anyways there is no harm in learning something new right and you are already interested in it. Then find the source of help you can take and get started with it.

9. Remove distraction – If you are already determined to start with your work then maybe there will a lot of distractions in ways which will divide your attention. It is very important to stay focused to achieve a particular goal. So try to figure out the unnecessary things which are consuming your time without giving you any benefits and get rid of it from your routine. But that doesn’t mean you will start avoiding your time for family and friends.

10. Visualize the result – Best way to motivate yourself and stop procrastinating on a particular task is to visualize that the task is already done. Can you imagine that you have already finished it? How does that make you feel about it? Does it feel peaceful? Do you want to go through that feeling of accomplishment? Well then get started, dear. Because this time ain’t gonna come back again.

In certain ways, we all feel like we need to move forward in life but we don’t really do anything about it. I hope the above-mentioned points will help you to stop procrastinating in your daily life. And you get to that point of life where you feel like “Yes, I finally did it!”

Story telling

Childhood memory…going down the lane.

Photo by Archie Binamira on Pexels.com

Hello there everyone… Hope you guys are safe and doing well.

So today I went out to buy some groceries and while coming back to home it started raining heavily. And when I reached near my house I saw few kids playing in mud poodles. Jumping in and splashing muddy water on each-other. Throwing pebbles in to the poodle to watch the stone bounce back with splash of mud.

They were laughing with pure joy. To see them enjoying in rain I just went back to the times when I was a kid and I used to go out every time it used to rain. I used to make paper boats to float it in the flowing water to see how far it will go without sinking and melt in water. I used to jump in poodles just to have fun at the time, even though I knew when I would be back to home I will be scolded by my Mom for playing in rain and getting all my cloths muddy which she had to clean.

We had a mindset of living in the moment. And now today when it started raining I just wanted to hurry back inside my house before my groceries gets spoiled or before I catch cold. May be as we grow up and start taking responsibilities we stop living the small moments the way we used to in our childhood. Like in our childhood also we knew well that playing in rain will make us sick eventually but we didn’t used to care. “Huh!! we can get a day off from school.” That was our way of living our life.

I asked myself, would behaving a bit childish once in a while in our grown-up life would be that bad? Just to have it out of our system. I think we should. Its a wonderful way of reliving our childhood memories and get a break from our current busy lifestyle.

Have you ever made sand castles whenever you played in sand in your childhood? Collected seashells? I used to love playing in sand. I used collect all the seashells in a jar. But now when I go to a beach, which is very rare, I just sit there looking far distant in to the sea. Having thoughts which I never thought would ever come to my mind in my childhood.

I remember in summer holidays I used to climb on boundaries of neighbor’s house to steal mangoes and wild berries off their trees. And start running as soon as the owner of the house comes out to check what all the noise is all about. Those were the best memories of my childhood. Sometimes I just wish I had a bit of that innocence still in me.

I hope you guys have your favorite childhood memories which just makes you overwhelmed and takes you down the memory lane. Please share your favorite childhood memories in the comment section below.

How to be alone and not feel lonely

I know its been long that I have written but today I wanna write about something most of the people struggle now a days.LONELINESS

Photo by Jean-Daniel Francoeur on Pexels.com

Most people stay away from their families and friends now a days because of their job or studies or some other reason. And after long tiring days they end up being alone the remaining hours of the day in some room cooped-up in four walls. Eventually they end up sad and depressed.

I agree its difficult to go through such times. We feel like talking to someone or go out with some one and relax. But somehow we don’t get to do it.
There was a time I went through such time and it was really difficult. I became very moody and cranky but with time I learned how to enjoy my solitude.

If you can’t enjoy your own company then how can you expect someone else to enjoy your company.

There are many ways to get out of this painful feeling.

Avoid flaking out on plans.
Has it ever happened that someone might have invited you for some outing or some other plans and you have ended-up giving some non-sense reason to get out of the situation?
Well this is something you shouldn’t do. Because eventually people will stop inviting you to accompany them thinking you are uninterested. Sometimes its better to enjoy the moment and go out and have fun.

Start writing a journal.
I started journal-ling a long time back and I can say that it really helped me in a very positive way. Writing down the way your day went and the way you feel about it helps having a different perspective towards life. It helps getting rid of the negative emotions as well.

Think about all the perks.
When you are around people, you usually do something everyone commonly enjoy and have a good time. But at times we have our own wishes and choices which others might not like to do. So when you are alone you can do whatever you want. Like watch your favorite movie or favorite series or read a book or play video games. You can even cook your favorite dish and eat it while watching a movie. And you don’t have to think whether others will like it or not.

Use your time productively.
Is there any work pending which you have been postponing since a very long time. Or any course you wanted to, but never got the time to do it. Do it now!! This is the best way to use your time alone properly and it will distract your mind from the lonely feeling too. It will also boost your emotions about yourself in to happy direction.

Try knowing yourself better.
Having lot of time in your hands, you can always try to discover your talents or your likes and dislikes. Does doing some particular activity makes you anxious or nervous but you always wanted to do it. Like playing any particular sport or dancing or singing. Try taking a leap and go for it dear!! Its better to explore it and get to know whether you are good at it or not rather than always having a regret of never trying it throughout your life.

Try to stay away from social media.
When you feeling sad and lonely, its better to stay away from social media. Now a days in social media people often post their happy moments, where they are enjoying their life. Which is not a bad thing of course but it might make you feel even more lonely and depressed
.

Identifying your loneliness triggers.
Try to find the timings and situations that makes you feel lonely. Its not necessary to feel lonely when you are alone. At times people feel lonely even when they are surrounded by people and friends. May be because they don’t feel included or they don’t like the company that much. Whatever is the reason try to find it. If coming to an empty home after long tiring day of office makes you feel lonely or eating alone makes you lonely, try identifying that reason and try to find a solution it. Like try finding a colleague with whom you can have dinner once in a while after office hour. Or if a friend is staying near by, check if they want to do something for an hour or two.

Try to live in the moment.
Its better to start enjoying the moment rather than thinking what you will do once you reach home. If you keep dreading the upcoming lonely time rather than enjoying the present time, then whats the point right?

Learn to differentiate between loneliness and isolation.
Feeling lonely at times being alone and your acquaintance being busy with their life is something different. Whereas if you are trying to isolate yourself from others, then may be its time to ask yourself, “Why are you doing this to yourself?”. There may be many reasons to it. May be you don’t like being in your current social circle or may be you are going through a rough time in your life. If you don’t like your current social circle, then try to make new friends. And if you are having a rough time because of work life or personal life then please talk to someone who you feel you can confide in, like a family member or a very old close friend.

Try exploring your interests.
It is always good to explore what keeps you interested. Try finding a new hobby. Anything that fascinates you and makes you curious to learn more about it.
May be take a painting class or dancing or sculpture making class. Keep trying till you find something which you can do regularly to pass your time. On plus side, you get to learn something new again.

Adopt a pet.
People who are animal friendly often adopt a pet. A pet always give you company and also gives you emotional support. You can play with them when you are around. It is also said that people who have pets tend to stay happy most of the time.

Start a exercise routine.
Having a regular workout routine not only keeps you healthy and fit, but it also keeps your mood elevated. You might not feel like doing it initially when you are already sad and feeling lonely but after a few days you will definitely notice a change in your mood. You will feel more active and alive.

Try going on a trip.
Have you been planing on going on a solo trip since a long time but never got the time or guts!!!
Take that trip now. Find an affordable place you want to go, pack your bags and just go.
Even if you don’t like going alone, now a days lots of trip organizers are available online. They arrange trips for group of people who want to go on trips but with security and affordable plans. Its a great way to make new friends as you will be meeting lots of new people there.

Last but not the least, try enjoying your own company. It will really help you grow within yourself. I hope all the above points might be of some help to people out there who are feeling lonely right now.
